Earth Tones Kitchen
The client is an avid baker, hence the microwave in the island, doubles as another oven.
Their small appliances are used on a daily basis, so the decision was made to leave them on the countertop and plugged in, for ease of use. We concealed them behind doors, for aesthetics
The pantry was originally accessible, inconveniently, from the adjacent laundry room only. So, by changing the entrance to the kitchen wall and camouflaging it as a cabinet, it was made much more accessible when bustling around the kitchen whipping up the next batch of cookies.
Because the Family’s most used entrance to the home is from their garage, through the laundry room, into the kitchen, it was important that the laundry room coordinated with the new kitchen.
The natural granite countertop is a bright white with a dark blue/black veining that the customer was determined to find from an inspirational picture she was carrying with her.
The stainless-steel apron front sink is a workstation sink with many accessories to assist the cook with day-to-day recipes.
