Historic Farmhouse Renovation
This renovation was special in that the customer wanted to stay true to the historic time-period that this home was built. As you can imagine that takes a great deal of thinking outside of the box in design and construction in order to accomplish a traditional farmhouse look in an older home all while maximizing space and bringing the design into the future with function and meeting current safety standards. When picking out materials the customer chose from our Medallion cabinetry line and picked a Potters Mill Door Style in a White Icing painted finish. This cabinet style along with the marble countertop and the farmhouse sink really went a long way in keeping with the traditional, farmhouse style. You will notice we customized the cabinets to reach the ceiling (110 inches high), brought in a custom corner cabinet with a built-in microwave bay and an appliance garage, and installed a 3 inch wide drawer spice pullout close to the stove. The customization and convenient features don’t end there; we added a pot filler within the glass, handmade, fire-clay subway tile backsplash above the range as well as a built-in hall tree at the backdoor for coats, shoes, etc.
